Great times for the Redlands kids lucky enough to attend the Nsw State interschool championships at SIEC. They competed in eventing, showjumping, dressage, working hunter, and combined training.
Everyone learned a lot, and had some great wins and placings to bring home!
Congrats team👍🏻

Congratulations team 👏🏼❤️

I would like to share with you, the story of the most amazing horse, I have ever known, in my lifetime. (Of many, many, many horses.)
Pacific wave (aka chucky, chuckles, chuckman, mrperfect) came to me only through the luckiest thing I’ve ever had happen to me- my amazing friend Kez French said you have to have this horse if you’re learning to jump. He’s 23. I said sounds really old. How high can he jump? She said 1.30. I said yeah in the day. How high can he jump now? She said 1.30!
I got him for not much money and I thought I can always use him in the school.
Little did I know, chucky would be the most amazing horse, we had ever encountered.
Up to this point, we’d bought some ‘jumping’ horses all useless. I guess we were a bit useless too? Enter chucky.
Suddenly Lara and I were in the ribbons for the first time in our jumping career. He never faltered. He jumped anything, at any distance, any time, any place, anywhere. As someone a bit ‘older’ jumping you have no idea the confidence this gave me.
Lara and I continued to fight over him until we bought her a new horse and then he was all mine.
Busy working, life happens, it was the biggest blessing to always have chucky to pull out of the paddock and it’d be like he’d had no days off, he always did his absolute best for me, every time.
I’ve had enough horses to know that chucky was one in a million. And as someone who has had a million horses, I know that he was beyond special.
Thank you chucky, for giving Lara the confidence to ride those huge heights.
Thank you chucky, for fixing all our mistakes.
Thank you chucky, for being the sweetest, kindest horse that I’ve ever known.
I’m happy you lived your last years like the king you were.
If only we could all have a chucky.
